U.S. Consulate Chennai Public Diplomacy Small Grants Program

The Public Affairs Office of the U.S. Consulate General, Chennai is pleased to announce the next round of our public diplomacy small grants competition. The public diplomacy programs must occur in South India (the states of Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala Pondicherry and/or the Andaman and Nicobar Islands).

Proposals can include, but are not limited to, projects, seminars, conferences, workshops, cultural programs, exhibitions and outreach campaigns.

This competition is for public diplomacy grants only, and not for either developmental or aid projects. Furthermore, these grants cannot be used to fund ongoing operations of an organization, but rather for a specific public diplomacy project.

This competition is open to American and Indian citizens/individuals and NGOs.

Please note that Indian organizations must have an FCRA number to be considered. The deadline for applications is January 26, 2014.
